THE TEAM

The Inspiration behind Zero Footprints project are professional photographers Ted Leeming & Morag Paterson who, inspired by their zero energy house build in rural Scotland in 2009, commenced an 8 year project to take every photo from exactly same location. To find out more about this project, their book "Zero Footprint" and their work click HERE. Ted and Morag are delighted to welcome Joe Cornish to the team.
In addition to Ted, Morag and Joe, the Zero Footprints team also includes many parties offering their time, help and pro-active support. If you are interested in joining the team in any way please feel free to contact us at any time. Two of the core team whose invaluable help in the set up and running of the website, as well as in the curatorial and promotional elements of the project, are Andrea Hitzemann (Founder, Enecco Outdoors) and Lauren MacNeish (Marketing Professional).
Andrea Hitzemann founded the online community enecco OUTDOORS, where experts from throughout the outdoor and travel industry have the ability to connect. Being half Tyrolese the love for nature and mountains is in her blood as well as her deep interest in foreign cultures. "Zero Footprints" is a community project at it’s best. There was no doubt she would join this journey.
Based in Scotland, Lauren MacNeish works in the marketing and business development team at SmugMug. Being an avid photographer of the Scottish landscapes, Lauren is proud to be a part of the Zero Footprints project and the eventual positive impact it has.
THE CHARITY
100% of all the money raised through the 'Donate an Image' scheme (after print and transaction costs) will go to SOLARAID, an amazing charity working to offset climate change through the provision of LED lighting in African communities. They have a tiny overhead (<9%) so nearly all contributions go to frontline benefits, which not only include carbon offset but health, social, economic and educational.
